Tom Walker

My first memory of tennis was playing with my grandparents when I was 4 before moving to America for 5 years in which I continued to play and love the game. Whilst also playing Baseball which is my main performance sport now being selected for a UK all stars team in 2023 season in which I was the starting pitcher.

I played tennis competitively through school at Northampton School for Boys one of the best sport schools in the UK. Since joining Bournemouth University to study Sport and Exercise Science in 2021 I have not been able to compete due to various injuries and other commitments but have a great relationship with the team and watch them regularly.

Whilst not at University I work for Castore Sportswear who sponsors players such as Andy Murray, as a Supervisor at Silverstone Circuit overseeing events such as Formula 1 British Grand Prix and Moto GP.

I am moving over to Auckland for 8 months on my Placement year to Coach tennis with Kiwi Tennis and can’t wait for the new experience and get back into coaching. I bring lots of passion and enthusiasm to the sport and have lots of creative ideas to make every session fun and rewarding.
