Senior Professional Tennis Coach

I loved the yellow Tennis ball and that was a good enough reason to start Tennis for a 10-year-old. Since then I’ve been playing tennis for more than 20 years including 10 years pursuing my career as a professional tennis player. I’ve been travelling around the world to participate in ITF tournaments since I was 15 years old. As a former WTA player, I ranked 491 in doubles and I also achieved a National College Champion and University Champion in South Korea where I am originally from.

My career as a tennis coach started in 2011 at the top Tennis Academy in South Korea and I completed Hotshots and ITF Level 1 there. Tennis brought me to New Zealand in 2013 and I started as a head coach at Forrest Hill and completed Club Professional (Level 2) coaching course in NZ. I am very impressed with the interclub system in NZ and I had an opportunity to play at Wilson Chelsea Cup and Scarbro Caro Bowl.

I recently completed a Master’s degree in Sports Psychology and am very keen to help tennis players with goal setting, motivation, team building and attentional focus to improve their sports performance as well as mental well-being. I’m looking forward to seeing you on the court.
