Senior Professional Tennis Coach
Hi! I first started playing tennis at the age of 10 after watching players like Roger Federer, Andy Murray, and Serena Williams at the London 2012 Olympics. Being a part of the Olympic legacy has made me proud of how fortunate I am to find such an amazing sport which I now live and breathe.
Growing up in a very sporty community I was given many opportunities at a young age. Representing my county Warwickshire and playing in various regional tennis tournaments across the country is a big highlight of mine. I have also been very fortunate to train at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy and Soto Tennis Academy as a part of my tennis training.
I am currently on a placement here in New Zealand for a year as a part of my university programme. I attend the University of Bath in the Southwest of England studying Sports Management and Coaching (BSc). I also represent and play tennis for my university in the British Universities and College Sport League (BUCS) which is a national competition for all universities in the UK.
After gaining my LTA Level 3 coaching qualification I was very privileged to coach for Team Bath, which is one of the very few LTA-funded tennis academies within the UK. Working with high-performance coaches such as David Sammel and Ian MacDonald who currently mentor British tennis professional Liam Broady and Alicia Barnet. These two coaches have been influential through the mentoring process and my time working for Team Bath. Tennis has taught me many life lessons, through playing to a high standard and being submersed around great coaches along the way.
Having a sport which is fascinating and constantly changing builds character and charisma. I have worked with all age groups and abilities through my time coaching and I am very adaptable to an individual’s wants and needs. Especially after travelling to a beautiful country such as New Zealand, I can’t wait to meet new individuals who are ready to give tennis a go!
